Since 2018, IRIE! has delivered the BA (Hons) Diverse Dance Styles in collaboration with the University of Roehampton. Following changes to their overall Dance Programme, the University of Roehampton and IRIE! have agreed to end this validation arrangement. IRIE! has enjoyed a fantastic relationship with the Dance Department at Roehampton and would like to thank the team headed by Erica Stanton for their dedication and creative energy.
IRIE! is now working with Goldsmiths, University of London, to develop a new partnership which would see Goldsmiths take over the validation of the BA (Hons) Diverse Dance Styles from 2023-24, and additionally validate a new MA Diverse Dance Styles degree programme.
IRIE! have collaborated with Goldsmiths on several occasions, through the ‘In Living Memory’ project, in partnership with Lewisham, Mayor of London Borough of Culture. IRIE! produced an innovative film, ‘Pioneers and Protest: Seeking Change, a film about the Black People’s Day of Action that took place in 1981, and through the construction of a site-specific Performance by year 2 students in June 2022, where students created a travelling performance through the Richard Hoggart Building, involving a creative fusion of African, Caribbean, Hip-Hop, and live drumming.
